I have been out to a few of these, Vauxhall Astra (mainly petrol) 2002 – 2005. Vehicle won’t start. Fuel guage is reading 1/4 tank. Fuel pump not priming.
The fault has been on most occasions that it is indeed out of fuel and the fuel guage is reading incorrectly.
Replacement fuel sender units seem to rectify this problem.
